Thumbing through the pages

Thumbing through the pages

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I have been collecting my writes,
and some are not pleasant recollections.

When you miss....

Now,
 for a touch of background,
I usually write in one moment.
Wherever my mind focuses.

I am slowly getting to the point.
Remember.
I ramble.

Forcing myself to go through the first two years,
  I noticed something.

I remembered when I wrote them.

I know what I was going through at the time,
and how I was feeling during the moment.

I still wound up with the first two years.

I still have four more years to got through,
and I can only hope it gets better.

Like re-reading a story.

love the ending of this...second time around, we are more objective in our thoughts...and can do some revision of our lives.
