In the moment

In the moment

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Quietly sitting,
enjoying a chance to be alone.
Words waiting,
wondering if I might make them my own.

Physically still,
mentally gliding.
Contemplating what might be real,
while finding myself sliding.

Knowing time is passing,
and thoughts are drifting.
Deciding if I care to share my feelings,
while I feel a smile spreading.

Shake my head,
and pause.

It will come to me.
Give me a moment.

i like that idea....the words waiting and wondering if we will use them---hoping....and yet most of the time we are the ones hoping to find the right words.

Playing around a bit. Thank you.
Trying to make moments our own, could be a mantra for all writers, for the words that live in the tip of our tongues. I personally wonder why when they are remembered, is it always silly o'clock, when you are farthest from a pen.
Could be good advice to us all, writers or no, to just give ourselves that moment, instead of getting frustrated over things. But who has the time?
Wonderful write Jon.
