My dreams scare me

My dreams scare me

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I will start with a touch of honesty.
My dreams are becoming more complacent.
Merging years of jobs,
and the people I have worked with.

Might as well be awake.

I might have not been honest.

I think the dreams are pushing me.

I hear a knock on the door.
  Couple of quick raps.
Feel my hand do the same.

Blinks between sleep,
 and awake.

Seeing the difference.

Changing the story.

Ever change your dreams?

Don't shy away.

Dreams are something waiting.

If they won't let me sleep,
I might as well see what they want.

Then,
   see what choice is made.

yes, they call to us night after night....or they remind us of what could have been if only we had chased them...
we can always edit versions of ourselves.

I wish I could share my dreams. Words do not give them credit.
