Beauty in silence

Beauty in silence

A Poem by Jon Roggie

To be honest,
it should be a search for beauty,
and since I am talking about it,
I guess silence has walked out the door.
That was a long sentence.
I don't know if I broke any grammatical rules,
   but if so,
    I blame the punctuation.
I realize my odd sense of humor,
if you care to call it such,
  might be a touch grating.
Fingers on the chalkboard.
  Sorry,
    most are used to whiteboards.
You can't get the same sound.
By now,
 if anyone is listening,
those who are left are wishing,
"Will you please stop your yammering!"
Fine.
Be that way.
Image of an orange sun,
 burning through the morning fog.
Slowly clearing the mist.
