Scratching the dog's ear

Scratching the dog's ear

A Poem by Jon Roggie

"How you doing?"
Not bad.
You?
"Fair to middlin'"
Know the feeling.
Taking it easy tonight.
"You?"
Well,
it does depend on the definition.
"Now, we go back to the same old joke."
Must we?
  (This said with a smile.)
"'What will we do tonight?'"
'What we always do.  Try to take over the world.'
"Narf."
Sorry folks.
  There are new classics.
