Toes in the water

Toes in the water

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I have been here before,
and it gives me a chance to think.

Imaginary settling,
bringing back a moment from childhood.

Time of illusory simplicity.

My toes slowly buried,
covered by the cold current of the river.
Knowing change only takes a little wiggle.

All depends on how long I choose to wait.
