Ink

Ink

A Poem by Jon Roggie

For some a fad,
  a painful decoration.
One maybe regretted.

Others,
  a statement,
    beliefs etched upon the skin.

And then there are those,
 a memory,
   one carried along.

Each leaves a mark.

often we regret those tattoos gotten in one insane moment...and then later say.."what was i thinking?"
same happens often in relationships...and those leave indelible marks too.

Most interactions in life leave a mark. It all depends if we notice them.

The artwork should mean something. Glad you liked it.
You always choose words that say so much more than the few lines allow, but it fits so perfectly, and I may add, you probably put more thought into this piece of ink, than some put into ink on skin.
Got five tattoo's in my youth, all at once and have regretted it every day since. So kids out there...just say no :)

Thank you. Most of my nieces, and the nephew, have at least one. Most reference family.
