Hospital trips become a vacationA Poem by Jon Roggie
Story of the summer,
and stretching into the fall. When the appointments start growing, you make the best of it. Book a room. Place has and indoor pool, and a decent breakfast. Always stop at the zoo. The staff, and the animals are starting to recognize us. I know the tortoises are starting to give me a look. Planning little side-trips, even if many never happen. Each trip planned around a few appointments, never knowing how long they might last. A chance to brush off the nervous feeling, while remembering how to smile.
