19 Inches

19 Inches

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Odd measurement.
Both hands,
  wide as they can reach.
Now,
this all depends if I keep both thumbs touching.
Deciding not to reach.
Allowing my hands to simply sit there.
What if I reach?
  Each arm around thirty-four inches.
Add the shoulders.
Yes, I throw off the person measuring me for a suit.
Why do I mention this?
Simple.
I can give a great hug.
