I give terrible reviews

I give terrible reviews

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Honestly,
 they rarely make sense.
There is a reason behind this.

Your words make me want to write.

I find myself matching words.

I want to play.

So,
I feel I should stay silent.

These are your words.

Just a kid looking from the other side of the fence.

It can be so damn hard to take inspiration and not use another's perfect words. I have recently discovered Rag N Bone Man and his lyrics are spot on. I catch myself singing and saying "Damn! I coulda written that, now it's too late." Another nicely penned piece.

Such a beautiful compliment in and of itself Sir, in finding inspiration from others words.
And even the simplest view says "i was here" and can give the writer confidence and inspiration itself. Everybody wins :)

If I give encouragement, it is all I can hope to accomplish.
inspiration breeds inspiration and so on and so on...

yes, often happens, doesn't it...others' words spawn our own words and it makes us feel we are copying..even when we are not.

jacob,
you know how I can run.
Thank you.
I liked the last lines....I also find difficult to review sometimes. Words don't come easily to tell exactly how I feel after reading their words. This was really very nice and relatable.

It is hard to express what is felt. Of course, this is part of what we are trying to accomplish.
