We have our own voices

We have our own voices

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I understand influences.
It is natural to fall into patterns.
 Reflecting the words,
   those we remember fondly.
They are still our words.
Those words make the difference,
  and while sounding familiar,
they have a voice of their own.

Thank you. The variety adds to the mix.
yes, each a voice of our own...sometimes developed from patterning ourselves after those we read...sooner or later we find that uniqueness ----

We learn from what we have seen. After awhile, we grow.
Unique and creative write. I really liked this.
