Breath in a frozen morning

Breath in a frozen morning

A Poem by Jon Roggie

It has been a long night.
The child has been tucked in bed,
and seems to be sleeping peacefully.
She could be faking,
 but if so,
seems to give her a moment of happiness.
I should try and get a few hours myself,
but I am in a thoughtful mood.
So many reminders...
Our decisions swirl like a breath.

With a sad smile,
  and a yawn,
I let out a deep breath,
  and watch it flow.

this reminds me of me...so hard to get to sleep most nights...too much thinking and reflecting.

Might be why we are both late night writers.
