One of those days, Part IX

One of those days, Part IX

A Story by Jon Roggie

Muses don't normally take this.
We have known each other for awhile.
She joins me.
"Stories are a mixture.
  Memories clouded,
and adding a touch of deception."
Now,
I know she wants to play.
"Memories are meant to be true,
  yet often deceptive."
She gives me a wink.
"The best stories share memories.
  Let the moments glow.
  Not kept to yourself.
  Shining for all to see."
I can't help but smile.
"And with each story,
  we learn how to question?"
I know the answer,
  but she takes my hand,
    and for once,
  she smiles.
