One of those days, Part IVA Story by Jon Roggie
I don't want to look down.
You have to understand I have been having visits. Something I should have noticed. Never let you drift away. Knowing she won't go away, I look down. The innocence in her eyes is heartbreaking. "They told me you would tell me a story." Now, it has been confirmed. I'm screwed. I sigh, and know I can only accept my fate. "Walk with me." "Where?" "Not far." "Why?" This is how it always starts. I restrain myself. She is still learning. "I want you to meet a few friends of mine." "Then will you tell me a story?" "Maybe. You have to wait, and see." Not the answer she expected, but she decides to wait. After all, she does like a story.
