The death of a crockpot

The death of a crockpot

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Now, some of you might be asking,
 "What is a crockpot?"

It is a slow cooker.

How does this rate a memorial?

That crockpot was used for ten years.

I have no clue how many people have had a meal cooked in it.

After posting an obituary,
 friends were quick to respond.

They shared in my pain.

Memories of stews,
 ham hocks and beans,
   and other tasty items,
     passed before us.

You will be missed.

The funny thing is, I can remember when I bought it.
You have a good sense of humour...I liked this...

I would rather tell a joke than be angry over a simple accident.
