I travel

I travel

A Poem by Jon Roggie

The concept has been there for awhile,
but a friend's comment helped it be realized.

I realize I might never go there.

Still,
 I have been to India.
 Scotland.
 Pakistan.
 New Zealand.

I can't keep track of where I have been.

I quietly walk with the people.
 hearing their words.

Not a tourist,
 dropping cash.

I hear their voices.

I listen,
 and still held back.
  I travel.

Listening to the sounds of where you are and the people you are around is the best part of travelling. Feeling the rhythm instead of being a cash cow to the tat merchants.
An interesting thought..How many places have your words travelled to? They find us on every shore. Wishing you many more journeys to come.

We all travel. All we have to deal with are time zones.
