I can't keep track

I can't keep track

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I will start this out with a simple statement.
Wait a moment.
Shake my head.
Simplicity is used as a disguise.
Where was I?
Keeping track,
and it is hard to do.
Conversations running,
and only a few are the voices in my head.
Sometimes you have to stop.
Let yourself step aside.
Find the place of peace,
 and grow quiet.
Lost my train of thought.
Where was I?

Sometimes growing quiet is the only way to go. When it all gets too much to follow, we tune out and either fret about it or let it wash over us and accept it. If only we knew which one we will find ourselves in next, eh?
You still have the calmness of voice in your words Jon. Anyone who can take something so complex and boil it down, leaving the reader see the path your words take, shows the engine may take a little longer to start, but it still passes its service with flying colours :)

Those threads are so enticing, once spotted. :)
it's hard to keep track isn't it?
i like the idea of simplicity as a disguise---
because inside, it is never simple when it comes to feelings, to writing words, to letting out the heart.

I let myself play. It helps the words flow.
As always, thank you.
Jon.
