To be still

To be still

A Poem by Jon Roggie

In a life of constant motion,
 this is an effort.

Easy to slow the body,
 but what about the mind?

Focus on one image,
 letting everything slip away.

The trick is finding the rhythms. They give a background. Gives you a chance to flow.

To be honest, I think I have been trying this for almost four decades.
Sitting on a hill, accepting the grey-blue layers near dust approaching.. .. then, wonder if..

Even one's lashes still because the mind has drifted .. .. .. somewhere.. .. .. There's not a fear, not a smile.. not discomfort.. not even hope.. there is what there is..

Lovely. This would be a nice addition.
