Messages between friends

A Poem by Jon Roggie
"

A little collaboration with Ana Papaya. Send the complaints to me, and the praise to her.

"
You seem to be hovering.
Reminds me of a couple of friends.

I know who sent you,
and wonder if she wants to talk.

"Maybe.  She is shy."

Well, why not?
Take me to her part of the Garden.

And there she sits, alone
while petals fall like tears

withering and wilting
as time passes
quietly

"Do you see?
  Most ignore her,
   and brush away the petals."

I understand.
A tortoise has time to watch.

Do you see the new growth?

"Where?"

There.
A new sapling.

From seed to sapling
life takes root

in the garden
where she rises

torn from the weeds
to rest
among her own
and listen.
 Can't you hear her singing?

She tilts her head,
 and smiles.

"Yes!
Her melody
unfolds the thaw!"

Both of them smile.

a garden blooms
beneath her warmth

Beautiful collaboration. The picture suggests Wonderland, but the Garden would appear to be Eden. Whichever it is, a very good write.

it just takes getting someone out of his or her shell...and look what can develop between the two...like new flowers blooming in a garden of chance.

This is a truly beautiful picture your words paint here guys, of everyday words passing between two, as they watch life bloom and friendship grow.

The subject though is so fitting and sweet.
A new season, a new day. Let the goodness grow.
