What about my story?

What about my story?

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I hear the question,
and feel the tap on my eyelids.

Try to play still,
 but she persists.

Open my eyes.

Sure enough,
  it is her.

"Tell me a story."
 I can only sigh.

She is my punishment,
and my friend.

Knowing what I crave.

"What kind of story?
  I know a few,
   still why waste one?"

She hides a smile.

"I want them all"

It begins again.

Ironically I'm not much good at reading between the lines and understanding this style of writing but of all your poems that I have read this is definitely my favorite. I found it sweet and enjoyable. Thanks for sharing Jon :)
