Shall we talk?

Shall we talk?

A Poem by Jon Roggie

You nod,
and we sit at a table.

Watching the steam from my cup,
  I see you fidget.

I can only smile.

Tell me.

It is part of what friends are for.

Tell me. Basic human need. To be heard.

Sometimes, people need to tell their stories.
I liked this place. Tea or coffee with dear friend. Perfect place we need often in a life. Thank you Jon for sharing the amazing poetry.

Thank you, sir. Give me a coffee shop, or a dive bar, as long as the denizens talk to each other.

I liked the tavern conversation. Easy people hiding little. You are welcome Jon.
