What do I have to prove?

What do I have to prove?

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Ask myself this,
and I still have only one answer.

Everything.

I say this with a smile.

It would be easy to settle,
and let past accomplishments define me.

I prefer to keep trying,
 because I am not content.

So much more to find,
and I say this with one thought in mind.

I don't have to prove a single thing.

I think sometimes the only person we have to convince of this is ourselves.

We are our toughest critics.
This really takes the journey of life at its own pace, beautifully so :) The only person we have to better than before with is ourself...I like the impact your poetry has Jon :)
