Voice mixed with the static

Voice mixed with the static

A Poem by Jon Roggie

You only catch it while spinning the dial,
 or for those more recent,
  when you hit scan.

A few words,
 and then the voice vanishes.
Drowned out by the white noise.

Catch a word here,and there,
 but never a constant signal.

Just can't find the station.

Drowned out by the big transmitters.

Jon Roggie,
"Voice mixed with the static" This one reminds me of how in life people do not stay together or make the effort to really hear each other, as in; " Few words and then the voice vanishes..drowned out by white noise," and "Catch a word here, and there, but never a constant signal."
This world is sometimes confusing overwhelming and I think people just want to shut down as in your last line; "Drowned out by the big transmitters." A very expressive and introspective opportunity for analyzing............I had fun with this! Blessings, Kathy
