Let me tell you a story

Let me tell you a story

A Poem by Jon Roggie

The little girl won't leave me alone.
I am wondering where the parents are,
 but still...
She looked up at me,
 and smiled.
"You looked sad,
but you lost yourself in the stories."
"You started to smile."
With a smile,
and a wave she faded into the crowd.
I wonder who was telling the stories?

A very curious child indeed.

I like the last thought.

True. But they don't always need finishing.

Honestly, nothing is ever finished. Always time for a new beginning.

True words.
Such a chance meeting is always a lesson in some way, love the title and love the poem Jon, you always give me pause to think :)

Thank you. I was finishing up a story. By now, you know I jump from write to write. :)
