Dune

One of my inspirations for writing. Frank Herbert's Dune

I first read this when I was maybe ten.

Needless to say,

 I didn't catch everything.

Now,

 a few decades later, 

 and needing a book to read,

 here I go again.

Yes,

 I have done this before,

 and more than once,

 but I always find something new.

Each time I have a slightly different perspective.

Certain phrases make so much more sense.

Now,

 we are all writers.

We have our inspirations.

Don't let them fade into memory.

Keep them fresh.

For me the occasional smell of cinnamon,

 and a touch of the spice melange.
