Introvert

Introvert

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I have to be honest.
People exhaust me.

This might be hard for some to understand.

Talking to people starts becoming work.

I realize this might sound odd.
I am posting it as spoken word.
The thing is I can walk away.

You don't always have the option,
and you start feeling a drain.

The shell starts growing thin.

You need your form of quiet.

Just being honest. Thank you.
I completely know and understand this feeling, a walk in the woods will help, :) but be careful no one grabs you, rapes you and sticks you in a closet. People are very unsettling and you just never know what you might come across, and it's a sad world for a woman to live in, can't even take a walk on the sidewalk alone anymore. Forget about going out alone at night, I miss it, I miss feeling safe in this world.

;) If I shave my head, also seem to be a bit intimidating.

Don't we all,,lol
I could just as easily post this as one of my own.
I find it overwhelming quite often. I mean, ever notice how often I close my account and run away? :)

Yes, I have noticed. I just step away for awhile.
I'm an introvert and I agree with the line; people exhaust me. I actually agree with the whole poem haha.
