The words do not seem to fit

Fifty years,

and I can't seem to get it write.

Hours off,

 and I will slip in a joke.

I still don't know how.

Writing words are easy,

but knowing they are only words?

Stops me.

Words should be an idea.

I can't seem to share them.

I just keep having to try.
