If you told a story

If you told a story

A Poem by Jon Roggie

How would you tell the story?
We can read the same lines,
but our voices might not sound the same.
Simple,
 if you look at it.
We make the story part of us.
Then,
 we tell it.

everyone hears and tells a story from their own perspective... but I think it is a special story when someone sees and reads it the same way... we do after all want stories to be understood.... a story like us, want appreciation in the telling....

nicely done Jon...

Some you tell, and some you share. When someone feels what you started....
Special.
It has to be, in part at least, from within us for it to be meaningful.

It always come from within. If someone finds a new story?
I waffle between wanting to be sure the reader hears my voice and being humbled when they hear their own in my words.

I fall more to the humbled side.

I want to, but in reality, I don't always feel that way.

I like the new stories taken from a few words.
and each poem is a piece of our heart, and a piece of our gut---

we express differently from each other, but we also read others differently---
it's all about relating...and perspective...

Each view gives you a new insight. I realize this might drive some writers insane. I like it.
