Stretch my mind

Stretch my mind

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Stretch my mind
Still my face
Nothing left out of place

World I see
Outside my door
Not the one I was looking for

Stretch my mind
Change my voice
Hiding in the daily race

Move along
Nothing to see
Especially not the possibilities

Stretch my mind
Pause for awhile
How am I in this place

Woke in the morning
Looking at the past
I can't let this last

Stretch my mind
Time to change
Show the world an honest face

Honesty is always the best policy Jon. If people don't like what they see, then it only shows you that theirs is the opinion that is shallow. If only we would all be ourselves, there would be a much more positive view to look at and a lot more caring and compassion.

This one feels more like lyrics. Anyway, I agree. Show your true self.
sooner or later whether others like us or not...we have to be ourselves..it is that simple...we need to be honest with ourselves and others.
