Sharing a story

Sharing a story

A Poem by Jon Roggie

To be honest,
sometimes you don't want to.

The words will never match the feelings.

All it is a shimmer in the mirror.

One you can only see.

Normally,
I would stop at this point.

Time to step out of character.

You can't always share what you are feeling.
Some might relate,
bringing up their own past.

Might be pretty close.
They are still your memories,
and you lived them.

I share a shimmer in the mirror,
and might get a true reflection.
