Just a ripple

Just a ripple

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Move through the audience.
Unknowing of who will take the stage.
Stand for a moment.
Hearing the impatient coughs.

Make them wait.

Not here for their entertainment.

I toss a stone into a volatile pool

I watch the ripple.

reminds me of something william forester said in Finding Forester..."I didn't write it for them"
he also said "why is it that the things we write for ourselves are so much better than the things we write for others"---

I forgot that movie. Still, it is true. I write for myself, and I cry.
