All in the timingA Poem by Jon Roggie
I have been a bit moody.
Check that. I have forced myself to be civil. I don't want to be around anyone, but that is a luxury. Grasping the seconds, those where I can be alone. Still, there are those reminders. Ones which help you move past the self-pity. Walk in to see my mom watching the Rugrats. Niece is sharing the couch, and her at the old age of fourteen. Watched for a moment. I had to smile. For a moment, the world feels good. Walked in at the best time.
