Mute in a world of silence

Mute in a world of silence

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Spoken word?
Silently laugh.

Unable to talk,
at least in a voice which will be heard,
   I still listen.

Voices speaking in opposition.
Simply sounding like the noise between stations on the radio.
Static.

I listen to the static.

Mute,
I try to find a way to talk.

I will have a voice.
