Give me your hand

Give me your hand

A Poem by Jon Roggie

No promises,
just looks like you could use one.

We walk for awhile,
I do most the talking,
barely noticing the stranger.

Nudges me at the corners,
changing my direction.

Notice I am alone.

Spot of warmth,
people gathered.

Hear someone say,

"Brought another one."
