Changing the flow

Changing the flow

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Quietly,
I stand before you.

Stoic.

All a process,
ever in motion.

Anger leads to destruction,
until you try to change the direction.
Grasp the feeling,
and turn it towards creation.

Sadness becomes overwhelming.
Remember why you are sad,
and let the smile shine through.

Embrace all of the chaos.
Understand it.
Find your own peace.

Aside from the structure, this reminds me of several of my writings. I commonly lean towards this type of subject matter. Emotional discipline has been something I've spent significant time and brainpower on. The simplicity of this is great because the message, at its core, is very fundamental. I tend to drift towards the depth of it and come out wordy. Awesomely awesome!
