Rain on the windshield

Rain on the windshield

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Taking a break from the road.
Left early,
so I know I can make up the time.
Plenty of time to meet the schedule.

Rest for a moment,
listening to the drum of the drops.
A chance to let my concentration drift.

I can relax.

What is waiting,
 fades away,
and I listen to the rain.

Thank you, Ray. The rain feels like new life.
I like the thoughts leading to good ending my friend.
"What is waiting,
fades away,
and I listen to the rain."
Good to find time to listen to the rain and find better places and thoughts. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

You find it where you can. I miss walking in the forest. Peaceful.
Thank you, sir.

I need a long walk into deep forest and you are welcome my friend.
To me there are few more comforting sounds than rain drumming away while you are safe inside, being taken to another state of mind with the hypnotic beats. It is a very calming place to be. Unfortunately I live in Scotland and the rain here sounds more like a thousand drummers having seizures :)

Ha.We don't get monsoons, hurricanes are rare, just constant awfulness is how I'd put it :)
and in that listening...inspiration pelts the windshield...

and we get lost in the drops of rain which soon become drops of ink...on a page.
