Gordon Lightfoot

Gordon Lightfoot

A Poem by Jon Roggie
"

Showing my age, even if this came out when I was 7.

"
Years have passed,
and so have the recollections of the words.

Half of a lyric,
bringing back a memory,
knowing something was forgotten.

Staring at the jukebox.

Waiting for the next song.

Somewhere there are people scratching their heads wondering, what is a jukebox? Lol...good piece, Jon.

I love the song, "I'm Not Supposed To Care".

He has such a mellow sound. Almost tired sounding.
I was just reading on him this morning and what a great song writer he is!

Gordon is one of my favorites. I used to put together puzzles with his CD's playing. Sadly he's getting old and frail. Great poem.
