Scattered stones

Scattered stones

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Walking a path,
and stop along a person with a broom.

"Look at all of these pretty stones.
Each individual with their own story.
 Finding a place in nature."

Sadly,
the stones are swept aside.

Stories swept to the side.

Jon Roggie,
to easy to not take the time to listen to the very old, very young or the cast offs who ever they may be. We all have a voice and life is only enriched by being a freind. I truly enjoyed Scattered Stones. blessings to you..........kathy.

I love it when you ramble! Kathy.
Far too many stones are swept aside as we go our own way. Some purposely and others inadvertently. The pretty stones we study, the others toss into the stream. A good write, Jon.

Thank you. Amazing what seems to be pushed aside.
Modernity has a lot to answer for Jon. We, or others always look to build the next new big shiny to distract us, but sadly it sometimes backfires when the new shiny becomes a reminder of what went before it. No longer do we have time to remember these things, as they are swept away from us and we wonder "Was it all just a dream." :)
And now I have the urge to play broken stones, by Paul Weller. Can't think why :)

You're welcome :)
and a lot of times the little things are most important, but we just sweep them aside to clear the floor for what we think is really important...we miss so much that way.

Agreed. We let too many things slip away.
Stepping stones perhaps, shaped by nature and will. A living testimony to the hardness of some others , perhaps. An excellent penning. ....:))))))
