Controlled silence

Controlled silence

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Somethings bother me,
and to be honest,
anymore it does not take much.

What gets me is the lack of understanding.
Scratch that.

When did we stop trying to understand?

Words passed along,
and I see this is nothing new.

How is this ignored?

Each word seems to add to the silence.

We do need understanding and appreciation for speech and for silence. All in the right time and moment. Bravo, poet....:)))

Wow. You are welcome. ....::::))))
The true art of silence is knowing it isn't silent, we have lost the art of listening so understanding follows that, sadly...it isn't much to ask for understanding...beautifully voiced Jon :)
