All a dream

All a dream

A Poem by Jon Roggie
"

Impromptu collaboration. I was joined by jacob erin-cilberto, KL Goode, Papaya, and Corset. Hopefully this meets their approval.

"
If only for a moment,
I let my soul drift.

Seeing a world so different.

One hiding behind the nightmare...
but that nightmare really gets in the way,
and the better world seems a dream if we can make it there.
Just beyond reach.
Yet reality is a mire, a funeral pyre.
The underneath always makes its way to the surface.
A facade of happiness where horror exists...

Life.
I look at this,
and sadly smile.
So many choose to accept the reality around them.
I look for a way to change the world around me.

A facade of happiness where horror exists...

Life.

This reminded me of a game. Friend of mine, and I would talk in lyrics from songs.

Yeah, I've done that. Some days I think my life is a musical...

Nice one....
If we can make it there..just beyond reach, yet reality is a mire, a funeral pyre.

May I post your line?
Corset

I was hoping someone would grab it and continue :) A collective :)
but that nightmare really gets in the way...and the better world seems a dream.

This could be the next line, and then add Corset's. Sorry, I can't help myself.

I like the bleak hope here. Language is dark, but message maybe not.

Sometimes, you have to stop, and see the beauty around us. Little things go unnoticed.
Hello, Jon! :)
I like the short ones. This one is deep and meaningful, downhearted, yet hopeful.
