One eye open

One eye open

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Missing half the world,
  glancing to the side.

Seeing what you want.

Beliefs held selfishly,
  unable to consider.

One eye closed,
  ignoring the world.

Sad that we sometimes sleep or rest with one eye open. The world is so busy, do we ever rest?

Only if you are at peace with yourself.
yes, unless we have both eyes open, we miss half of what there is...and often we close it on purpose in order not to see all that we want to ignore.
