What would he want?

What would he want?

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Death in the family brings out the worst.
Branches divide over any slight.
Each forgetting.
Try to look into the eyes.
Is this what he would want to see?

Death is the time that people are at each others' throats for all the wrong reasons. I feel fortunate that such things didn't happen so far in my mom's family. And my dad's family we just let them have at it, and skipped the rigamarole all together. It is very sad, but true.

Thank you. Simple thoughts.
This is true of so many families. I think he would feel sad...

I get to be the third, watching it all happen. Not pretty.
I don't think a more universal or difficult piece has ever been penned. Again, my condolences.
