From the beginning,

this is me trying to deal with the inevitable.

Call from my brother this morning.

Dad is not so good.

Lump in his lung.

Waiting on the test.

Already know chemo is not an option he will take.

So, we wait.

Before you think I am only thinking about the family,

realize so does he.

We have went through this before.

So far,

one success in the books.

Needed to ramble for a bit.

Hell of a way to start the day.

There is no way to sugar coat this kind of news, there are no words to make it better or easier, and you'd think as poets we would have come up with something a little better than the truth which is that's gonna really bite for a while.
