Last one picked

Last one picked

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I can only guess this still happens
Kids picking out their teams,
and someone finds them self all alone

To be honest,
I wasn't chosen last,
but I sure was far from the top.

I was the question mark.

The last one picked?
Someone to give a chance to.

Nobody will expect it.

Not even the one who chose them.

I asked the question.

Let the rest deal with the answer.

Felt bad for those kids. I remember doing this...
Picking teams.
