Convincing someone to write

Convincing someone to write

A Poem by Jon Roggie

How do you say it?
Easiest way is the simplest.
They can do it.
Trying to convince yourself is the hard part.
For some, the words come easily,
and sadly the ego rides along.
Natural play of words does not lead to a good write.
Sometimes, it might as well be a greeting card.
On a side note,
if only to keep the tone a bit light,
I feel I could have been a success in the greeting card industry.
Back to writing.
Finding a way to say what you mean.
It is always different.
So many are unable to find a way.
Yet, you hear it in a simple conversation.
The way they tell a simple night on the town.
How they console another.
Right there in front of you.
Knowing the empty feeling,
when you don't feel you can talk.
No reason to let them go through that.
Help them learn to speak THEIR words.
