How to keep them looking

This is when I show my cynical side.

You catch their eye with something blinding.

They can't help themselves.

No chance of looking away.

Now,

 the trick is you moved on.

You didn't wait.

Stories were propped up immediately.

The constancy is comforting.

Each leading to an obvious conclusion.

Just another golden brick road.

Another wizard behind the curtain.
