They all saw an excuse.

They all saw an excuse.

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Some had a bit more time to think,
and might have had some underlying thought,
but they all had an excuse.

Doesn't that want to make you cry?

I have been bringing this up for at least three years!

In other words,
I have been dwelling on it.

It just keeps piling higher,
  and I don't know.

Trying not to lose my sense of hope.

Excuses are for the guilty. Just because you have an excuse, that does not excuse your guilt.

There always seems to be an excuse. What makes it worse, is those who twist the situation.
Sometimes people makes excuses for things because the truth would mean opening up a can of worms that would be too messy to clean up. So we let dishes pile up pretending not to see them, hoping someone else will come along and clean up the mess that gets smellier and smellier. Just my thoughts here, for what they're worth. :)

Good analogy. So many messes need to be cleaned.
