A lesson learned

A lesson learned

A Poem by Jon Roggie

One thing,
 and I hope this helps.

You will be laughed at.

Not meant to be in a mean way,
 but it will happen.

As serious as you try to be,
 there will be a moment.

Something will bring a laugh.

Before you take offense,
  think about it.

Might have been a slip.

You may even laugh yourself.

Being laughed at is good for you. You can never take yourself too seriously.

Some do not realize it. At least it shows they are paying attention!
Yes, that is very wise. See the humour in the moment.

I think it becomes a learning experience. If you get a laugh out of it as well, so much the better.
Some of us do take ourselves too seriously. A good reminder. Sort of a interesting logical build in this piece.

Life can be easier if you realize the moments when you should laugh at yourself.
