Passion

Passion

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Told by someone,
 and I must agree.
"You need passion.
All of this repetition takes it away."
Each day becomes the same.
Every meal becomes the same.
I will keep away from sex.
Each moment...
    it seems lifeless.
No touch of color.
Each little attempt,
   a simple joke,
     all adds to life.
Many of us live a simple life,
  but there should be something.
Believe it,
  or not,
   might start with a smile,
      and a simple "Hello."
Go from there.
Who knows what happens after a laugh?

This is so lovely but not without a subtle reminder to live and take a chance at times. What is life without those chances - who knows indeed :)

I have heard the first four lines in so many forms. I had to expand on the meaning. Thank you.
Oh, if you get a laugh you're in! Trust me on that.
That's the way in. Love poems and laughter.
(Unless she's some high maintenance b..ch)
Good luck! :)

I always get a laugh, and I know how to cook.

Well then, you're laughin'! :)
ok, let's just pretend you didn't just take a vow of celibacy. Which I admire, but fail to understand. The message is actually brilliant. Take the time for the little things, and that will ignite the passion.

yes, that laugh...followed by passion...should always be room for that...we get too routine with expectations and dreary sameness.
