Blend of voices

Blend of voices

A Poem by Jon Roggie

To be honest,
  I prefer to be quiet.

I need to make myself try.

I can't withdraw from everyone.

Something like this?

I might as well be talking to myself.

Any reaction will be afterwards.

Now,
to attempt to write with another,
   it makes you try.

Responding to a few lines,
 seeing how the words flow.

Noticing when it seems right.

So many voices,
and so many wanting to talk to each other.

Sounds like a challenge.
A simple harmony,
lend your voice to mine,
I will write you a lullaby
and you can sing mine.:)

The melody combines,
an attempt at beauty.
Echoed by the birds of the morning.
